CDW Corporation has announced a $2.5 billion acquisition of Sirius Computer Solutions.
The company was founded in 1980 and serves roughly 3,900 large and mid-sized customers with mission-critical technology-based solutions. CDW Corporation stated that the acquisition will “substantially accelerate” the company’s services and solutions capabilities while also diversifying its service portfolio.
Sirius Computer Solutions runs a single Tier III-certified data centre in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, from which it provides colocation services. The company employs approximately 2,600 people.
Sirius, headquartered in Texas, was originally owned by a subsidiary of the private equity company Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. Closing of the purchase is expected in December 2021.

CDW stated that the transaction will assist the company accelerate expansion in sectors like as hybrid infrastructure, security, digital and data innovation, cloud and managed services, and would instantly help the company expand its bottom line.
