One of the emerging online-to-offline(O2O) platform across the country, Paytm Mall is looking to hire 300 more people in the upcoming months.

It has already added about 200 employees across various functions till now.

SVP Srinivas Mothey shared that the firm has been receiving strong traction for O2O with the business and hence requires more manpower to support that.

He said, “To support this growth, we have re-aligned some of our teams and have added 200 more people for the business.”

Earlier in January, there were reports that Paytm Mall was restructuring its top and mid-level executive teams to focus more on O2O segments.

Founder of Paytm Vijay Shekhar Sharma had then said, “Small shops and sellers have unprecedented opportunity to expand online. Our O2O technology suite and mall as consumer destination will give them the necessary support to expand to the new consumer base.”

While Paytm Mall is one of the emerging online-to-offline platforms, it still needs a lot of catching up to do to stand against bigger e-commerce players such as Flipkart and Amazon.

The old and new hires will play a crucial role in enabling Paytm Mall to make its place in the segment.
