Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) has expressed interest in establishing a Container Manufacturing Unit in Paradip, reiterating its commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in Odisha.
Naveen Jindal, Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, discussed the project during a visit to Paradip Port. This will be the first of its kind in Odisha.
This will be a container manufacturing unit based at the port, spread across 100 acres of land. It is understood that the port authorities have agreed to provide the required 100 acres of land. It will also encourage make in Odisha & Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Accompanied by a senior official’s team Jindal met with officials from the Paradip Port Trust and discussed JSPL’s proposal for a dedicated railway freight corridor connecting Angul and Paradip. He also paid a visit to the Port’s other facilities.
